Hello former school mates,
I was at Mwinilunga primary from 1967 to 1973 and then went on to Mwinilunga Secondary from 1974 to 1978. I spent the whole period in Shaka hostel and was one of the Shaka hostel prefects in my final year. Was very active in Scripture Union and by God's grace went on to go to The University of Zambia where I pursued I studied Medicine graduating in 1983 with B.Sc (Human Biology) and then getting my M.B., Ch.B in 1986.
I got married to Anthea (Midge) Changala (former NWP C.E.O.'s daughter) in May 1987 while I was doing internship at Kitwe Central Hospital.
Then worked in Chinsali for almost a year and after that was back to Lusaka UTH where I started Obstetrics and Gynecology training.
We moved to Swaziland and worked at Raleigh Fitkin Memorial hospital (Run by the Church of the Nazarene) for 3 years.
For 7 years we were in South Africa at Shongwe Hospital in Mpumalanga where I worked as a Principal Medical Officer.
From July 2001 to June 2003 we were in Western Australia - first in Halls Creek for 7 months and then in Port Hedland.
Currently, we are based in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada where I am a Family Physician. The children are all in school and enjoying it. Anthea, my wife stopped teaching and is loving our stay here and is a very busy home and business manager.
I did Family Medicinewhile in RSA getting the Master of Family Medicine (M Fam Med)degree from Medunsa in 2001 and I also was admitted to the Royal College of General Practitioners in Australia in 2002 getting the Fellowship (FRACGP).
We have been blessed with 4 children - a boy and 3 daughters (Wankunda -1988 born in Chinsali, Kalama -1991 and Chihayamisha -1992 born in Manzini Swaziland, and Nakita Kukenga -1998 born at Shongwe in South Africa).
