I grew up in Hartford, CT and lived off campus for my 4 years at Storrs. I have lived the last 15 years in Phoenix, AZ, where there is NO SNOW IN THE WINTER!!!!
After graduation and CPI I worked in data processing in the Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance Company (2 years) and Travelers Insurance Company (10 years) before I threw caution to the wind, quit my job, and moved to Tucson, AZ, for 6 months to work as a contractor in the Hughes Aircraft Missile Division. Back to Hartford for one final year, then permanent migration to hot, sunny Phoenix in 1990, where I snagged a job with American Express. I have worked there 15 years and am currently a Project Manager in the technologies division.
Never married, no kids (except the hamsters). My vocation is writing and I have written four intricate fiction manuscripts and am on #5: I am attempting to get them published but it's a hard world out there in book land. But damned if I didn't write them and accomplish that!
I guess my most vivid memory of my UConn years was August 8, 1974, when Nixon resigned. After watching it on TV friends from work (the UConn physical plant - I was a taxi dispatcher) and I went to celebrate at Shaboo. I still have the audio tape I made of his resignation speech.
