I came to UConn from Deep River CT, and was DJ ?Danny Driver? on UConn's WHUS Radio 1961 to 1964. There are many photos of me at that time on Bob Neagle's great WHUS Memories Museum website at http://freewebs.com/whus/

During the past 40 years I earned a Master's degree in social work and co-authored many substance abuse related professional papers, and served as co-investigator on several NIDA funded projects involving intravenous drug users. I was principal investigator on a NIDA funded 'Center for Behavioral Studies in AIDS and Substance Abuse', and was an Instructor in the Psychiatry Department at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for many years.

I gave up my hifalutin' eastern ways over 30 years ago and became a real Texan. I married a Texas gal, Carmen Esparza, and we have a daughter April.

I am now back in show business as "Mr. Six", doing national TV commercials for Six Flags Amusement Parks.
